Description of Double Standard Room

All rooms at the Hotel Rigihof were recently renovated in a sporty, but elegant décor. Each room is dedicated to a celebrity who lived in Zurich and who, during this time, did or invented something valuable, unforgettable or typical touching a wide circle of people. The life and work of these people are depicted on pictures throughout the hotel and the rooms. Each painting is explained in a small text and further information can be found in the literature provided.The standard rooms are facing the backyard and some have a balcony. The bathroom has a bathtub including shower and a hairdryer. All rooms are equipped with cable TV, radio, direct dial-in/dial-out phone, analog and wireless Internet connection, coffee and tea maker, mini-bar and safe. Rooms are available with 2 Twin Beds (separated or pushed together) or with a double bed (queen or king size).

Single Superior: larger single room facing the backyard; with larger bed

Directions on how to get there
By public transportation:
Upon arrival at Zurich’s Main Railway Station, follow signs to “Bahnhofplatz” and take the Nr. 10 tram direction “Zurich Oerlikon” and exit at the “Winkelriedstrasse”-stop (= 5th stop) from where you will see the Hotel Rigihof; or catch a taxi at the railway station (approx. CHF 15.00)
At the airport, either take the train to Zurich Main Station, take a taxi, or pre-arrange the Hotel Rigihof’s shuttle service (at surcharge of CHF 10.00 – 25.00 per person).
By Car:
Coming on the Highway from Bern, Basel, St. Gallen or Zurich Airport, take Exit “Zurich Nordring”, keep right and follow signs to Zurich City / Chur / Luzern, then take Exit “Schwamendingen” and follow the “Ueberlandstrasse” for approx. 500 meters, then at the fork keep right and follow the “Winterthurerstrasse” for approx. 2 kilometers, and then keep slight right and the street becomes the “Universitätstrasse” where you find the Hotel Rigihof after a few meter to your right.
Coming on the Highway from Chur or Lucerne, the Higway ends when you get to Zurich, then follow signs to “City” and “See” (= Lake) and follow the “Manessestrasse” then straight on to the “Tunnelstrasse” which becomes the “Alfred-Escher-Strasse”, where after approx. 200 meters you turn left into the “General-Wille-Strasse” which becomes the “General-Guisan-Quai” which you follow along the lake and across the bridge where you keep right and then turn left into the “Schoeckstrasse” following signs to “Zurich Airport”; then left into the “Theaterstrasse” and after 100 meters right on to the “Rämistrasse” which you follow for about 1 kilometer when it becomes the “Universitätstrasse” where you will find the Hotel Rigihof after approx. 500 meters on your left side.
